A Crooked Compass

There's no shame in taking the long way there. Long journeys hold the potential for scenery that a shortcut can't match. There is no comparison to be made between hard earned lessons and opportunities never even glimpsed because the road was smooth. It's off the beaten path where we are challenged most and our character is formed against the dirt, the rocks and debris that litter the path. Be grateful for the long way, and praise God for His guidance and conditioning the path before us.
